Your gift will build a demonstration site in Sahuaripa, Sonora. The 25-acres on the side of a river are purchased and paid off, now is the time to make an impact. This site is critical to the diffusion of knowledge on landscape restoration and regenerative agriculture techniques in the land of the Jaguar on both sides of the border.
Through healing the land and helping the people, we can save the jaguar!
Our goal of $25,000 will restructure the land to slow and sink water, and begin to produce food and workshops. Your gift will also build our structures on the property. Cabins and a multi-use classroom with bathroom and kitchen constructed using natural building and recycled materials. This site will provide an area to teach workshops and classes as well as producing food to lead by example. This site will be constructed by locals, workshop attendants, and volunteers providing training for future teachers, assistants or ambassadors for the project and nature. We will create and teach replicable collectives to spread these techniques and strategies.
Heal the Land-Building water harvesting structures and producing food to lead by example.
Help the People-By teaching and demonstrating regenerative techniques and natural building.
Save the Jaguar- The first steps to saving the jaguar are healing the land and helping the people. Jaguars travel over hundreds of miles, including onto private lands.By giving farmers and ranchers the skills needed to create abundance on their lands by partnering with nature and marketing their products under jaguar labels you will create respect for the jaguar and partnerships with nature.
